If you are a fan of card games and have yet to play Yugioh, I recommend you start playing it. The game tempo can vary from fast to slow. You can pull off limitless combos. The only downside is learning how to play. there are many tips and tricks to getting by monsters and spells/traps. The game is similar to “survival of the fittest” in that both players start off with random cards and has to make something out of it in order to beat your opponent.
I never played the card game Munchkin before until today. My experience with the game could revolve around playing that game as much as I play Yugioh. The game seemed somewhat complex at first, being that you drew out of a deck of cards and either encountered monsters, boosts, curses and Races/Classes, etc. The object of the game is to get to level 10. As expected, I did not win the game at first, but I enjoyed the game and would definitely play it again.
Recently, I played Dead Space 3. That game is extremely entertaining. I literally was at the edge of my seat dealing with aliens that brutalize their victims. This was my first time playing thew game as I wasnt a fan of killing aliens at first. Then, I got to borrow it for 2 days, and I have to say, those were the best 2 days withing the last week.
I recently played Grand Theft Auto IV and I must say that the game is entertaining when you have not played it in a while. I find shooting random pedestrians in the leg enjoyable just to see how the physics would work. The police chases have became much more realistic in my opinion. Playing the game only builds the hype I have for Grand Theft Auto V to release this September.
Yugioh is one current game I am playing. It is a hybrid between real-time strategy and turn-based gameplay. The object of the game is to utilize different strategies to force your opposition’s “Life Points” to zero. With using monsters, spells and trap cards, you can devise multiple ways to crush your opponent. Within each branch of card types, there are multiple sub-categories to choose from. Within monsters, you have Normal,Effect, Fusion, Ritual, Synchro and XYZ Monsters. For spells, you have Normal, Continuous, Equip, Ritual and Quick Play, Also, for Traps, you have Normal, Continuous, and Counter Traps. I would definitely recommend this game to others.
The games I currently play are NBA 2k13, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, Black Ops 2 and Grand Theft Auto. Although most of these games are old, they are still enjoyable to play in spare time. I only recommend these games to basketball fans and gamers who are fans of violent video games.
Out of the video game timeline, I have managed to play 10 of those consoles, from the Gameboy(1989) to the Play station Portable(2005). I still own my Nintendo 64, Sega Console, Nintendo DS and my Play station Portable. Out of the consoles mentioned, The Nintendo 64 is the only console that managed to work to this date. The memories for my Nintendo 64 are timeless. My earliest video game memory would be finally beating Super Mario 64 by taking down Bowser. Despite the non-functionality of the Sega, DS and the PSP, I still have some fond memories. The only game I played for Sega was the original Sonic. As far as the DS and PSP, they were reserved for my Yugioh World Championship(2007-2012) games. In conclusion, these nostalgic consoles are beneficial in that you can revisit an aspect of your childhood and play some of the more “legendary” games.
